What is this site about?
Bells And Candles is a cakes and bakery items online store that offers cakes, pastries, snacks, chocolates and many other bakery products on its menu. All the items are 100% Veg. We do make special birthday cakes, wedding cakes and fancy shape cakes. For customized cakes, advance order is required. This service is available for Bangalore, India only.

Are there any delivery fee or any additional charges?
We don't* charge any additional fee for any item available in the store, the price is inclusive of shipping and delivery charges within Bangalore.

When is the delivery made? Can I decide the time when the gifts need to be delivered?
In case of perishables like cakes and pastries, we will try our best to accommodate any requests for specific time deliveries. However, sometimes due to inescapable conditions it is not possible to deliver gifts at a particular time.

What happens if the cakes are not delivered in time?
Once you place your order, we will try its utmost to deliver the cake at the place and date you have specified. Circumstances beyond our control like difficulty in tracing the recipient's address or natural calamities like cyclone, flood and even irritants like roadblocks and traffic jams may hinder our goal to deliver promptly. If the delay in delivery is on our part - we will call and inform about the order and its the choice of the customer to reschedule the order. No claims for refunds can be entertained if the delay is not due to our fault or if they were caused by reasons beyond our control, including but not limited to riots, curfews, traffic or access restrictions or any situations not in our control.

What happens if the recipient is not at home when the cake arrives?
If the recipient is not at home a note is left on the recipient's door with a local contact number, informing them of the arrival of the gift. In such case, if the recipient does not contact us or contacts us so late that the perishable gift gets spoilt, it will not be our responsibility to provide a replacement.

Do you guarantee delivery of the gifts on the date specified in the order?
The local city associates make delivery of perishables and unless there are problems caused due to Holidays (local or unexpected) or wrong address/non availability of anyone at the address or similar problems, the deliveries do not fail.

What are the delivery Conditions for Hotel
Kindly enter the following details Full Name and Address of the Hotel, Telephone Number, Hotel Room Number and last but not the least the recipients name.

What about deliveries to Hospitals, Hotels, Marriage Halls etc. at specific times?
Requests of this kind will be handled on case-to-case basis. Most hospitals and hotels do not allow the cakes to be sent to the room.

Is delivery possible on Holidays and Sundays?
Yes, its possible to deliver on holidays and sundays also.

What if you don't deliver or deliver late?
Sometimes due to inescapable circumstances, orders cannot get delivered or are delivered late. In such situations we will not be liable for any claim, damages or refund.

Can I cancel my order once the payment is made?
We strive for your complete satisfaction. Hence we waste no time in fulfilling your expectations. So any request for cancellation of orders placed shall not be entertained. Any how we will try to cancel the order and not refund the amount instead adjust the amount for your next order.

Will I get any confirmation regarding the execution of my order?
Yes, you will get email on confirmation of order and a person will get in touch for the confirmation of the order(if the customer is from bangalore & also from monday to saturday).

What if I do not receive an order confirmation Via Email?
You will receive an confirmation email shortly after we receive your order. If you do not receive this email within four hours Please feel free to contact us @ +91-80-42124312 or write to us at support@bellsandcandles.com.

Can I change the Delivery address or Delivery date of Order?
Yes, you can change the delivery address or delivery date before 24hrs of the delivery schdule. To request a change to delivery address, Please e-mail us the new address support@bellsandcandles.com.

Is it safe to use my Credit Card Online?
Our Payment gateway is a Verisign Secured gateway and Your Credit Card information is encrypted and is sent for processing using SSL ( secure socket layer) technology.

What is Free Shipping?

Why i am being charged higher while making payment in International Currency?
Dear Customer when you opt for an international payment option rather than Indian Rupees (INR) many bank/credit card companies charges their customer fees for making payment in other currency except for which the credit card has been alloted (eg an Indian issuing bank credit card will charge their customer for making payment in Dollar, Euros etc and also the USA or any other country issuing bank will charge their customer for making payment in INR rupees or any other currency except home town.

We are not responsible for such fees, liablities, charges levied by your credit card issuing company. Please check such charges with your bank before making the payment.

Will my order be delivered at the time mentioned in the order?
Our usual timings for delivery are between 11 Am to 09 Pm everyday. We will make our best efforts to get your orders delivered at the mentioned time, however for now it is not guaranteed.

How fresh are the cakes delivered?
Our cakes are prepared in our own bakery. We do not pass our orders to third party manufacturers ensuring the quality that you trusted for long. The cakes are maintained and transported in special purpose vehicles that make it stay fresh when it is delivered.

Why is there a weight difference in the cake delivered?
On top cakes and special cakes require manual intervention in icing and shaping. This is a highly skilled and a manual job. So accurate weights cannot be achieved. Sometimes the variation could be as much as 10%.

Can I reschedule an order date?
Yes you can. This should be done within the stipulated time (see product specific timing.)

Can I write my own message on the cake ordered?
Yes you could write your own custom message. Please be short so that it can be accommodated on the cake.

What if my recipient lives in the outskirts of the city mentioned?
We would make every attempt to reach the recipient, However if his address is outside our delivery limits, we would not be able to deliver it. Please ensure that the recipient address is within the city limits.

What is the lead time for placing an order?
We would need atleast 5 hrs prior notice for all the orders. Certain special cakes need more time as mentioned in their details page.

What is the shelf life of the cakes?
The usual shelf life of a cake is about 22 - 26hrs. However it depends on the cake and the conditions in which it is stored. For ex. Fresh cream cakes have to be refrigirated as they have a shelf life of 24hrs.

Do i need to refrigerate the cakes?
Fresh cream/Non Dairy cakes require constant refrigeration. But others do not.

How do you guarantee the quality of the cake?
Our cakes are made in our own bakery unlike other online Indian gift sites. We use fresh cream, imported fruits and high quality ingredients to get the taste that you cherish for long. These are prepared along with orders that cater to large corporate and in fact other cafe chains.

When is my cake prepared?
All cakes are prepared once the order is raised and we do not store the cakes.

Do you take orders on the phone and payment on delivery?
Yes, payment can be made cash on delivery.
